Polar Bears past Bedtime (The Magic Tree House #12)

Title: Polar Bears past Bedtime (The Magic Tree House #12)
Author: Mary Pope Osborne

Book review by: Ling Ling (2A1)

Morgan le Fay, the enchantress librarian, sent an owl to inform Jack and Annie to solve the last riddle before they can become master librarians. Morgan gave Jack a book about the adventures in the Arctic and that is where they will be going. The book guides Jack and Annie along the adventure in Arctic. Jack learns that seal hunters wear sealskins, Siberian Huskies pull dogsleds, people can learn from animals, and ‘igloo’ means ‘house’, polar bears can walk on thin ice to hold a person and the northern lights are an amazing sight.

I like the part when the mother polar bear walks on thin ice. From this story, I learnt that polar bears can walk on ice that is thin. I feel that the story is interesting and we can learn some facts from the story. I will recommend the story to my friends as they can also learn more facts about the Arctic.

‘The Intergalactic Bus Trip’ is an exciting adventure story. It takes you on an exciting journey to the far reaches of outer space. The main characters are Izzy, Tom and their “alien” friends.

Throughout the book, there are lots of tricky puzzles and problems to solve. You will need to find the answers to understand the next episode in the story. The book is very interesting and fun!
